One of the best things about being in the hospitality, catering and restaurant business is that we have the opportunity to be a part of so many important memories for our guests and clients.  We love planning and hosting the perfect weddings and /or receptions.  We delight to have so many people return year after year for their company  or personal parties... like old friends. We can't wait to give you a perfect party, ceremony or reception.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our guests for the wonderful letters and e-mails that we have received thanking us for just doing what we tell you we will do.  We wish that we could share all of the terrific e-mails and letters that we have received over the years. But, we can't!  We simply have received too many!  (Good Problem!)

I called this week and found that you were on vacation so I am hoping you are enjoying yourself on your much deserved vacation.  We had an awesome time at the wedding.  Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate but everyone at 173 Carlyle House did an excellent job in resetting the room so quickly.  Many of my guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to.  Thanks for all your help during the planning phase as well as the procurement of the linens and chairs. The room looked absolutely beautiful and exactly what I envisioned.  I received nothing but compliments from my guests on the Carlyle House itself, the food and the fantastic cake which by the way, tasted as good as it looked.  I have placed a check in the mail today for the remaining balance due $338.85.

Like most newly engaged couples, my fiancée and I searched the entire Atlanta area to find the perfect venue to host the most important day of our lives.  We weren't sure what we wanted but we did know that we would not settle for anything less than the best and since we were paying for it, it had to be affordable.  After several weeks of searching we were almost ready to give up and elope when we found the setting for our fairytale wedding at The Carlyle House located in the heart of historic Downtown Square in Norcross.  It was the perfect mix of quaint southern charm throughout the historic house and modern elegance in the main ballroom.  They recently added a beautiful terrace in their gorgeous back yard which was the perfect romantic spot for us to say "I Do".  It was so convenient to have the ceremony and reception in the same location.  The terrace easily held our 200 guests for the ceremony and then was converted to beautiful outdoor mingling, dancing, eating area afterwards.  The Carlyle house is family owned and they are known for their catering.  Our guests still rave about the fabulous food and impeccable service throughout our reception.  Gerise, the manager, literally held my hand before, during, and after the wedding.  Even though I got married this June during the height of "wedding season" Gerise was there with me through every part of the planning process, answered every one of my nagging questions with a genuine smile, catered to my every request, and truly cared as much about my wedding as I did.  I trusted her 100% which made the planning and decision making so easy.  The Carlyle House and the staff surpassed my every expectation and truly made my wedding day the happiest day of my life.  Several of my friends got engaged right after my wedding and all want to get married there too. 

Please tell other brides to be that if they are tired of impersonal, stuffy ballrooms and are looking for a venue with character, warmth, and elegance the Carlyle House is their place!

It is hard to believe it has been three weeks since Becki and Aaron’s wedding. We would like to thank you for making their wedding, “The Wedding of our dreams.” The first moment that Becki and I walked into the Carlyle House, we knew it was to be the place that we would have their wedding reception. Gerise, you made everything so easy for us, I hope we were not too much of a bother to you with all of our phone calls, visits, and asking the same questions over and over again. The Carlyle House was so beautiful, the food was outstanding, the Carlyle House staff was very gracious and accommodating and took care of our every need. We received so many compliments on what a fantastic place the Carlyle House was to have a party. Speaking of party, we hope the Mason Miller families did not leave a huge mess for you to clean up after the celebration. Even when it rained, your staff did not panic, just moved a table or two and made room for the guests in the tent to eat in the old house. Everything ran so smoothly. The food for Becki and Aaron in the carriage was such a nice touch. We would recommend the Carlyle House to all of our friends and family. Just wanted to send a quick thank you to everyone who helped make Saturday so special for my daughter and son in law. Everything was truly wonderful.  The room looked beautiful when I checked on it before the reception and the cakes were perfect. Hi Gerise!!!

I just called my mom and she put a check in the mail yesterday, so I would
think it should arrive today or tomorrow at the latest.

I have been wanting to email you to thank you for everything! Our reception
was absolutely perfect! People are still talking about it. Everyone loved
the food and the house and the cakes! My friend's husband tasted my cake
and said he would "leave her for the cake"! When Matt and I left that night
we said to each other that we honestly felt that it could not have been
more perfect. Everything ran so smoothly and it was just a perfect night. I
loved having the little room for us to go in when we arrived and having
food in there for us was such a great thing to have. I honestly did not eat
anything else while we were there. We loved the way everything looked and
everyone was so nice that was helping serve our guests. What made a perfect
ending was arriving at our hotel and seeing a box full of food and cake for
us!!! We were starving! Then the next night we got some milk and ate almost
all of the cake!

I am sure I could go on forever, but I really just wanted to thank you so
much for everything that night and along the way. We will always recommend
the Carlyle House to our friends and family!! Matt's work is actually
having a Christmas lunch there (he works for Varec), so you may see him
soon.

Please let me know if there is anything else you need from me or if for
some reason you do not receive our check in the next day or so.

I just had to write to you all after our daughter’s beautiful wedding at the Carlyle House this past Friday night. The event was the culmination of the months and months of planning for something we had never done before and we had no idea how it would all turn out. Now that it’s over, I’m so very happy we chose your location and would like to list some of the most impressive people and things we experienced:

• Gerise was FANTASTIC! She helped us along each step of the way, in constant communication with us, helping us with each and every decision. At the rehearsal and wedding, she was right there with us - helping our bride with the final preparations and planning. She helped all of us tremendously and, I’ve never met anyone before that could be in so many places all at one time! When we were winding down and it was time for Gerise to leave, I felt like a family member was leaving! She deserves our thanks and congratulations – you have a wonderful person in Gerise as your Event Coordinator!!
• The food was fantastic! I only wish I had thought of having a “to go” plate ready since neither my husband nor I was able to eat because of so many people ready to see. Our guests continually remarked on the wonderful appetizers, entrees, ect.
• The turn around time from “ceremony” setting to “reception” setting was amazing! I loved watching the faces of our guests as they re-entered the ballroom to see all of the tables set so beautifully.
• The bartenders did a great job! No one had to wait long for a beverage.
• The cake was not only beautiful, it was delicious!
• The servers and wait staff were professional. I know they must have been moving about all during the night as they removed plates, ect. but we were never aware of them.

I could go on and on about our wonderful experience at The Carlyle House. So thank you all – Management and for a job well done.  We will happily recommend your location to all of our friends and relatives.

What a perfect night we had at our Carlyle House wedding reception! Everything was gorgeous and just as we had hoped and dreamed it would be. The tables, the breathtaking flowers, the lovely center pieces and the beautifully draped chairs were stunning. Additionally, to see the lovely white tulle draped everywhere, everything was flawless. Michelle and Scott were thrilled when they walked in and saw the house, as were all our guests! The ‘bride’s room’ was so special too. How nice it is for the bride and groom to have those few minutes in that lovely room with hors de oeuvres and wine awaiting them before their entry into the ballroom. Michelle really did feel like a princess.

The bartenders were so efficient and also so much fun. Even though there was another wedding earlier in the day and I’m sure everyone was tired, you would never have known it. All the employees were energetic and smiling and the wait staff was friendly to all our guests and always on top of everything.

And I cannot forget to mention the food, beautifully presented and so delicious. Mr. Janousek has got to be the best chef in Atlanta!! So many of our guests have emailed and written me about how wonderful the food and everything was at the Carlyle House. Mrs. Janousek was so helpful to us as the night ended. She even carried a lot of the gifts to our car. She was so nice to us all.

Gerise, what fun I had with you! From the very beginning, months ago, you were always so wonderful, so helpful, and got us all through this big event virtually stress-free. You are the best wedding reception planner around! Your suggestions helped me with so many decisions and made the reception impeccable.

To have all elements of the reception done at one place; the food, the set-ups, the decorations and the wedding cakes made everything so convenient and so much easier. You would not believe how many of our guests have commented about how perfect your place is. I have another daughter, Lyndsay, who wants her reception there when she gets married one day. So get ready to work with me again sometime in the future!!

Without a moment’s hesitation, I would highly recommend the Carlyle House to anyone. Thank you all for a night that was just as we had dreamed. It was perfect!

Everyone was thrilled with the dinner you hosted Friday evening. We usually have a Christmas/Holiday breakfast in December each year. This year’s event will be Tuesday, December 13^th. Due to overwhelming demand and interest, I am contacting you to see if the facility is available and approximately how much it would run per person. (Expense is always a concern.) We usually have somewhere between 100-125 at the breakfast.

We went up to our summer cottage in the Tennessee Mountains for a breather after the wedding was over. Michelle and Scott are in Italy for two weeks. I think their getaway beat ours. Not fair.

I’ve just returned and read your email. I’m sending the attached letter (personally signed) along with our check to you today. You’re the best Gerise and we loved absolutely everything at our reception. We had a ball!

By the way, we thought our Disc Jockey was great. He was so nice and had prepared everything so well. All our requests to him prior to the reception night he did exactly right. Everything went perfectly! And that's a lot to say for a banquet sit down dinner for 72 people! 

I have never heard so many compliments about the atmophere and the food and I have chaired this banquet for a number of years! Everyone in attendance was pleased.

I know you might not get many dog clubs that want things set up special, and our auction requirement were maybe a little challenging. Your staff was there to help us always willing to "work with us". Believe me this make a big difference. Those of us who came early to set up appreciated the easy to work with nature of all your staff members.

How can I ever thank you enough for all you did to make my wedding so perfect? It was a like a fairy tale it was so beautiful. The appetizers were just phenomenal and presented so beautifully and the main entrees were steaming hot and delicious. And the cake! YUMMY! The cakes were just perfect. Regan absolutely loved his grooms cake. It was SO awesome! And the brides cake was just as I wished. You were instrumental in helping the flow of the wedding and your staff was incredibly professional and courteous. I just can't say enough about how terrific it all was. I would choose the 173 Carlyle House over and over again. It was the perfect venue. And Lenka, I really couldn't have done this without you. Thank you for handling my zillion requests and making sure everything went off without a hitch. You are the BEST! Everything felt so cozy and warm and the lighting was perfect and the colors so beautiful. Really, I am just amazed by it all and a little sad it's all over. I am writing to express my great appreciation for your help with the Catholic Girls Club Mother-Daughter Dinner on May 16, 1999. I accepted many compliments on the evening, all the while knowing that you truly made it possible and make us look good! 

Since this was something we had not attempted before, we were clueless as to how to proceed or what numbers we might have. Because of procrastinators it looked for a   while like we would have to cancel the dinner completely-- a situation which would have been a major disappointment to the girls and a real loss for the mothers. But because of your flexibility and willingness to accommodate us, we went ahead--- gained those last minute additions--- and had a very successful event.

I have put off writing this letter because to just say “Thank you” seemed so inadequate. I loved the Carlyle House. Its setting and style was perfect for a mother-daughter gathering. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Everyone was wonderfully calm in the face of my panic and able to handle every request. I could not be happier with the way it turned out.

Please accept my unending gratitude along with a novena of rosaries beginning June 8, 1999 for the intentions of each of you. It was a joy to work with you. God bless you!
